I was somewhat older than I am in this photo of my parents and me when my dad taught me something kind of amazing. It popped into my brain while I was trying to take a nap this afternoon.

Go get a long piece of string or yarn. Wrap it around your thumb.
Now double the length of that piece of string. It will be pretty close to wrapping neatly around your wrist.
Double it again and it will be just about right to wrap around your neck.
Double it again (and take off your pants and the inches that you haven’t lost yet from those December holiday desserts) and it will pretty much wrap around your waist.
Double it one more time and it will be pretty close to your height.
Have fun with this one.
It’s not quite as catchy as “Hands, fingers, knees, and toes” but I like it. Thanks, Dad.
I feel like you’re just trying to get strangers on the Internet to take their pants off… I am skeptical of your intentions…
David, I think you are on to something there.
