Six months ago, Hamas terrorists took hundreds of civilian hostages. 130 of those hostages are still captive.
Yesterday, I listened to a mother describe her family’s experience on October 7, 2023. She lived in Nahal Oz, Israel, near the border with Gaza. After 19 hours hiding in the safe room in her house, with her husband and three children, they were rescued by the IDF.
Two members of their kibbutz are still hostage. After six whole months, their families still do not even know whether they are alive.
After the Hamas terrorists killed, raped, burned, and took hostages; Palestinian civilians came, killing and looting. The civilians found a Thai laborer and killed him… by beheading him… with a shovel.
I am terribly saddened that so many civilians have died, in Israel and in Gaza. I also know that Hamas started this war and Hamas could end it…
by returning the remaining 130 hostages.

You are so right. I still sympathize with the oppressed( by hamas) palastinian civilians. But hamas has been told several times that the attack won’t end until the hostages are released.

I wanted to attend Saturday’s program, but with family still in town, was not able. Art, thanks for putting your thoughts into words. They echo mine. Hamas started this war, it is Hamas that must end it by returning the remaining hostages. May it be so.
