Dear Ford,
The Maverick is a fine car, like this. I owned one so I know.
Except for that time when it trashed a water pump and I had to nurse it home from Michigan to Indiana at 2:00am and I missed a midterm because my car wouldn’t get me back to Ann Arbor, it was a fine car. Oh, and except for the time when it blew a tire and I had to call my stepfather to come rescue me because it didn’t have a crowbar which could actually remove the hubcap and the inflatable donut spare was out of air and he got to meet the girlfriend who I had spent the weekend with in Chicago who he didn’t know about, it was a fine car. Oh, and except for an almost total lack of power or performance, it was a fine car. But I have fond memories of it so don’t screw with my nostalgia.
It is not a pickup truck. Just sayin’.

Ahhh, fond memories of cars of our youths. My dad bought a 69 Cougar we were allowed to drive. Fun times cruising Steak and Shake. ❤️

Ahhh, the good ol’ days

For some strange reason, I wanted one of those. I think it was something about the styling that appealed to me.
Never took any action on it, thank heavens.
That said, if the newer “Dodge Dart” doesn’t come with a 225 slant 6, I’m not interested.
