This is a sad indicator of how tough times have become for some people. Our garage was burglarized recently and the only item taken was the gasoline can. Not tools. Nor the radios out of the cars. Gasoline.
The sad part? This is the second time that we have been victimized in exactly the same way.
I have lived in this neighborhood for almost 16 years. It’s a good, safe place. I am torn between feeling like I need to start closing my garage door 100% of the time and putting a can of gas by the curb with a sign reading, Need Gas? Help Yourself.

Can you put a can out that has enough to make it worth the drive from Rolla to St. Louis and back?
