In Stars Come in Many Colors, I published a photo of the sky with a star mislabeled. The orange-red supergiant star is actually Antares, not Arcturus.
To give Antares its due, it is the heart of the constellation Scorpius. The Greek name Antares means “Rival of Mars,” dubbed so because it appears red like Mars. Antares is 492 times larger in diameter than our sun.
