My friend told me, this morning, that her husband and she lost their sense of taste when they came down with Covid-19. Thankfully, after two weeks, it has returned.
I am particularly grateful today for my sense of taste.

A few months before COVID hit us, I got a taste of salt in my mouth for a week, and then lost all taste. The doctor’s told me I had “0” zinc in my system. Started taking zinc supplements and my taste came back. It was due to stomach issues. I do love good food, but without taste a Big Mac tastes like the best steak in the world……

That’s completely weird. I have never heard of 0 zinc or it affecting taste.
But I am intrigued that I could pay for a Big Mac and enjoy a steak. 😛
