It might be obvious to you but it struck me today that I am lucky to have a brain that naturally breaks things down into steps. I am fortunate to be able to write these posts one day at a time. When I decided to improve my fitness level, I was able to start by walking a few minutes at a time instead of fretting about whether I would be able to run a half-marathon. I do not feel like I have to create a whole year’s worth of these Finding the Good blog posts all at once. I do not even need to know with 100% confidence that I can do a whole year’s worth of them.
For me, it is enough to start with one day and then see what I can do tomorrow… when it gets here.
I know that this is not so easy for some people.
