Have you ever wondered how to have fun with a documentary commentator, a video camera, and a vintage Spitfire fighter plane? Watch this video to see the best way to do it.
I can imagine the scene from the commentator’s perspective. He does his spiel and hears the plane approaching from behind him. He waits patiently, facing the camera and crew. Then, all of a sudden, the entire crew hits the deck.
I briefly flagged car races for VARA and, like most flaggers, we worked in pairs. One person watched the cars driving into the corner. The second person stood facing the first and watched the cars driving out of the corner. The second person, of course, had his back to the oncoming traffic. He learned that if his partner started to run, don’t ask questions; just follow him!
