Cheerful Curmudgeon

David pointed me at Serious Wheels’ page on the 2006 Nissan Urge Concept car. Nissan and Microsoft have incorporated an Xbox 360 into a real car.

the Nissan URGE concept car allows drivers (while parked) to play “Project Gotham Racing® 3” using the car’s own steering wheel, gas pedal and brake pedal while viewing the game on a flip-down seven-inch LCD screen.

Clearly I have become to antiquated to understand the attraction. I thought the cars were for really driving and games were for driving when you could not really drive. Both the car and the game look like fun; I struggle to imagine why anyone would want to combine them.

On the other hand, odd things like chocolate and oranges go well together, so maybe I will have to try an URGE someday, too.
